Adding an instant quote widget to your lawn-care website

How to install an instant lawn quote calculator on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Webflow, and how to set it up so it converts visitors into booked grass-cutting jobs.

Someone landing on a lawn-care website at nine in the evening wants one thing: roughly what will this cost. If your answer is a contact form and a promise to get back to them, you are competing on response time against every other company they messaged in the same ten minutes.

Why an instant quote beats a contact form

  • It answers the visitor's actual question while they are still on the page.
  • It qualifies out gardens outside your service area before they reach your inbox.
  • It arrives in your dashboard already measured, priced and attached to an address.
  • It works at 9pm on a Sunday, which is when a large share of domestic enquiries happen.
  • It sets the price anchor before a competitor does.

Installing it

Mowify gives you one script tag. Paste it where you want the quote tool to appear and it renders inline, inheriting the width of the container it sits in.

WordPress

Edit the page, add a Custom HTML block where the widget should appear, and paste the snippet. On classic themes, use a Text widget in the sidebar or a page template. No plugin is required.

Squarespace

Add a Code block to the section and paste the snippet. Code blocks are available on Business plans and above. Leave the block width full so the widget can use the space on desktop.

Wix

Add an Embed HTML element, choose Code, and paste the snippet. Stretch the element to the section width and give it enough height — the widget grows as the customer moves through the steps.

Webflow

Drop an Embed component into the section and paste the snippet. Because the widget inherits container width, put it inside your normal content container rather than a fixed-width div.

Make it look like your site, not like software

The widget is fully themable from the Mowify dashboard: accent colour, light or dark surface, corner radius, maximum width, density, typeface, your own logo and your own headline. Inline mode removes the card border entirely so it reads as part of your page rather than a bolted-on iframe. Spend ten minutes matching it to your brand — trust in the price depends on it.

Where to put it

  1. Homepage, above the fold, next to your main proposition — this is the highest-converting position by a wide margin.
  2. A dedicated /instant-quote page you can send paid traffic and Google Business Profile clicks to.
  3. Each service page, so a visitor reading about scarification can price it immediately.
  4. In your email footer and quote follow-ups as a link, so returning enquiries self-serve.

Tune it for conversion

  • Set your service areas properly — postcode prefixes and radius zones — so out-of-area visitors get a clear message instead of a dead end.
  • Keep the contact step to the fields you genuinely need. Every extra box costs completions.
  • Show frequency options at the quote step; recurring plans convert well when the saving is visible.
  • Reply to a submitted quote fast. The widget wins the enquiry; your response time wins the job.

Frequently asked questions

Will the widget slow my website down?
The embed script is small and loads the quote tool asynchronously, so it does not block page rendering. The heavier measurement work only starts once a visitor actually enters an address.
Can I use it on more than one website?
Yes. The same snippet can be placed on multiple pages and sites for the same business, and every quote flows back to the same dashboard.
What happens if someone outside my service area uses it?
They are told the address falls outside your coverage and you can still capture their details, so you have a record if you expand into that area later.
